Exhibition Opening Celebration.
Exhibition Run: Nov 7 – Feb 28, 2026
Come celebrate our wonderful community! Join us for a semi-formal folk “gala, but not” as we launch Future Folkways: Reclaiming Rituals, Remaking Roots, the latest Talking Walls exhibition, marking the 15th anniversary of the Kosa Kolektiv community—a Toronto-based collective of artists, cultural activists, and diaspora members exploring, reclaiming, and celebrating Ukrainian and Slavic folk traditions. We will look back at the last decade and a half, share memories, honour the legacy, and dream the future!
Immerse yourself in the vibrant spirit of Kosa through craft, song, dance, storytelling, and ceremony. This exhibition honours the collective’s powerful commitment to the community, cultural preservation and creative reinvention, weaving ancestral knowledge with bold, contemporary expression.
The opening will celebrate all that have been a part of this growing movement, and all that we have collectively built. We invite all our past, present, and future friends and community members. Enjoy toasting, singing, see old friends, and make new ones!
